It’s strange, but you have no idea why the Supreme Chancellor of the Republic would be so interested in a starship designer, even willing to ignore the Senate in the matter. You guess you’ll have to go through the other data to get the full picture, or talk to the droid. And of course, you also mention the droid, and the modifications it contains, including the likelihood of it holding all of Sienar’s designs. Fabian listens in silence as you explain, and once you’re done he stands awhile in thought.
“I see. Something strange is going on with the Chancellor there, and I am intrigued, but for now that’s not our priority. It seems like that droid may be more useful than we thought. When we get on the ship I’ll want you to take a look at it, see if you can’t get it to give up Sienar’s secrets willingly, and hack it if it doesn’t comply.”

“Also, I heard what happened with your men earlier, and how you’ve taken responsibility for it. In normal circumstances I’d have to make a report and get you reviewed by an internal board, maybe even a court-martial, but since everything’s pure chaos right now and I need my battalion commanders, I’ll overlook it so long as it doesn’t happen again. Otherwise we’re going to have a very long chat.”

“Don’t mention it. I’m going to call a regimental meeting soon to outline the situation and what we’ll do next, make sure you’re there.”

You salute him, and return back to Goto and the engineers. They’ve finished hacking all of Sienar’s personal data and are in the middle of packing it up, so you help them until you get the notification from Fabian about the meeting. Leaving with Goto, you head to the A6 Juggernaut that Fabian commands from, a massive mobile tank that’s one of the heaviest vehicles in the Republic arsenal. In a temporary command tent beneath the shade of that giant beast, you and the rest of the regimental commanders and captains gather around Shade and a holotable.
Once everyone who’s at the base is there, Fabian begins.
