“What crawled up your ass?” You spit.
“I just don’t want to watch her swoon over you. What an eyesore. Have some self respect, Hannah, she ain’t all that.”
“She saved us! And she’s probably one of the strongest Digimon Tamers in the whole City!”
“Don’t let Wind catch you saying that.” He mocks, as he vanishes around the corner. His Digivice buzzes angrily on his hip.
You glance at Bella for clarification, but ToyAgumon is the one who signals for you to crouch down instead.
”A lot of people think highly of you after what you did. And word has been spreading on the outside too, because of you and Phascomon jumping Mike.” He whispers.
You haven’t bothered to socialize with the punks who live on the surface, so you’ve never picked up on that growing rep of yours. You’re sure Phascomon would be excited if he was awake right now. You just stare at the spot where Mike vanished, nearly burning a hole into the patchwork textures with your gaze.
“Wind doesn’t like that, I take it.”
”Of course not. But he said he had a talk with you? And reached an understanding?”
“Yup. And come on, he can’t blame me for how these guys are reacting. It’s not like I’m trying anything.”
Once the scanning team is done, they scurry away and leave you be. You end up standing in the hallway with Bella, who’s looking tired after your jaunt through the sewers.
“Thanks for going all the way there to pick me up.”
“It’s the least I could do. I haven’t thanked you properly.”
“Let’s call it even, then. I’ll find my own way in. Is the room still available?”
“No, but I’ll let you know which one is soon.”
You flash her a thumbs up and head deeper into the base. There are two places you could be right now. It’s late, and you’re tired as hell, but you want to settle both things before bed. You're not sure if you have the time, though, and things could change in the morning. You're in a rough spot.
>Go visit Ryan first. He wanted to show you something, you might as well see what it is before it gets too late. Most people are already asleep by now, you might want to catch him before bedtime.
>Talk to Wind and Squid first. The situation with the book is rather important, since they have copies of their own. Search for them so they don't end up retiring to bed before you can inform them about the anomaly.
