also, i've been hammering out a little bit of a plan, right, i've been thinking over how one might begin making this whole thing with the spaceport work, and i think i might've come to an idea that everyone here can discuss if im retarded or not.
so, the idea is to create kind of our own little..."vassaldom" which, as proenza mentioned before, can be claimed to have been a previously lost, faithful unbroken empire world(s)
essentially, my idea is as follows.
take the rest of the ships that we find for a while. im thinking this here destroyer and possibly the next few ships, we will give to the traders, with a deal afterwards being that, 1/3 of all tariffs on the space station around the water world will be the traders to keep, but, they are then also to trade any and all industrial equipment that the station might need, at whatever undercut is necessary to keep the station both profitable for the spacers which visit it, and the water worlders.
after that, we would then use the next 10 frigates that we find, and convert them into a miners guild which will begin eating at the asteroids and rare resources within the close by system where we found the original traders, and the one system next to it which we found Lashawn in. with a offshoot for gas collection which will siphon the close by brown giant for all the necessary gasses used in industrial and agricultural processes. this way we don't begin taking away from the gas giant currently protecting the water world.
after this, we will basically just request that they follow our orders(the water worlders) and if they do so, they can continue to benefit from basically an influx of quality ore, rare materials, trade, and a small military presence keeping them safe, if we are to refurbish some of the other ships we find afterwards to create a garrison.
with all of this, we can actually begin claiming rulership of an actual land area. with the status that comes from it. (think of how proud our dad will be)
pic related, the area which we would then stake ownership of, or at least be effectively using.
