>>5752573>>5753269One bit of world building lore that I made up a long time ago that I always have stuck with, is that the general attire of wizards with the robes and pointy hats is essentially the same as a Jewish-Star. It's a mark for them as otherwise they're indistinguishable from the common folk. So you always know when you're talking to a Wizard. Wizards also live in sort of wizard ghettos in big cities, it's the "magic" part of the city, which would be very diverse and fantastical but also kind of run down and shifty and well respected folks would stay away from it. Obviously this only works in a more High medieval kind of gritty fantasy world with a sort of discrimination and separation from normal and not normal individuals. I tend my fantasy settings now towards magic being more universal or subtle in general.
