>>5318382>>5318282“Dammit.” snarl, drawing your weapon down to your right side perpendicular to your body while pulling it back to swing. “HAAAAA!”
With a roar you swing, your weapon firing another wide slashing blade of ki. The azure energy slices through the air, carving a path of destruction through the dark, mist-like creatures. Your massive energy blade cuts through hundreds of them, the beings dissolving into sprays of white mist as they perish. You twist around, facing those approaching from behind you, and again you charge up your sword.
“HYAAA!!” you roar, firing another slashing blade of energy. Again you cut down hundreds of the dark creatures, who all dissolve in sprays of pale mist, the Rak'kari beneath you all forming up into their defensive formation.
“Don't move.” the Rak'kari champion thinks to you, then as one all of his soldiers fire. A couple hundred magical energy shots all fire out from their defensive square, the blasts exploding against the shadowy forms of the Dark beings. Each detonation you see consumes at least three of them in their blasts, surprising you with their effectiveness. But you won't let them show you up, again raising your blade overhead while channeling more ki into it then swinging down to unleash another ranged slashing cut.
Over and over you swing your sword, firing wave after slashing wave of energy directly into the approaching Dark beings. You spin slowly in a clockwise circle, firing attack after attack into the swarming horde drifting towards you from all sides. You fire attack after attack, but as the swarm simply keeps pressing forward, unrelentingly pressing forward despite the thousands of casualties they're taking every few seconds. You keep charging the sword with your own ki, it absorbing more and more of your energy as you keep firing. But you can't keep this up forever, your energy isn't limitless. Then, even worse, you try and take another breath. But there's no more air in your tank!
“SHIT!” you exclaim, immediately reaching up and tearing the mask off of your face to take a deep breath. The air down here in the Abyss tastes stale, and damp, but is welcome relief to your air-starved lungs. And as you do, the tide of battle once more changes. This time, at least at first, it is seemingly in your favor.
