Australian Front:
Initial drone recon of the areas surrounding the landing zone provided the navy with enough intel to be able to neutralize immediate response units with ship based long range missiles. Once the VTOLs were up in the air, a more thorough elimination of ground and air base response units was achieved with the 'Strayan' AD failing to achieve too dispersed to succeed in anything other than its prompt disposal. More thorough missions of air recon continued to provide targets for VTOLs or ship-based missiles, achieving air dominance over the southern half of the polity as Strayan air forces were reduced to drone based kamikaze attacks. Still, the northern half remains contested as the amount of AD increases with the closeness to the capital city.
City bombings have been limited, in part to prevent a large amount of civilian casualties and due to the Strayan architectural predilection towards underground constructions which missile of our current capabilities are unable to breach. The garrisons of the Strayan cities are thought to be anywhere between 40.000 to 200.000 since scans of the underground level of the cities are unable to be achieved with current technology. The 2nd army advanced though the wasteland, forcing local resistance units to retreat of be shredded by superior firepower. With the help of the 5th army, the large majority of these local units were blocked from retreating north and were instead forced to concentrate towards the much more isolated city of Big Empty with a push from the 2nd and 6th armies. On the other side, the main 1st, 3rd and 4th armies surrounded Straya's largest city, New Perth, managing to occupy the northern road from it with the help of VTOLs and ground based light artillery punishing each attempt of New Perth's garrison to leave the city.
