And that’s to say nothing of the FIRST of the Dark Gods to turn his face from you, and still favoured by your enemies among the priesthood: the Lawgiver, Prosecutor of the Weak, and Lord of the Pattern Unbroken.
You know that the practice of True Faith in Bloodrise CANNOT continue as it has. Your multiracial, multicultural society, with merciful treatment of the enslaved, forgiveness and integration of enemies, a mixed-race and mixed-cast nobility, and ties to the children of the Gods of Light, with Serpent Priests in a secondary role to a Dark prophet whom the gods will not always speak to… It is TOO DIFFERENT to ever mesh comfortably with the faith of old.
The question is, HOW must it change? And what changes will your population embrace, or tolerate, or despise?
