You and Jacqueline wander through the labyrinthine corridors of the school, marveling at the sheer size of the building. You turn corner after corner, passing by various classrooms and facilities, each seemingly more obscure than the last. The fluorescent lighting casts an eerie glow on the pale walls, creating a foreboding atmosphere.
Despite your efforts to navigate your way to the library, you find yourselves getting lost. You pass by a group of four students, all dressed in black, who seem to be in deep discussion, but they stop talking as soon as they catch sight of you. Eventually, you manage to find a sign that points towards the library, and you follow it eagerly.
As you walk, you come across an elevator that catches your attention. When examining it, you noice that it requires a card to access, which only adds to the sense of mystery and intrigue. You and Jacqueline exchange a puzzled look, wondering what could be behind those doors and why it's so heavily guarded. You make a mental note to try and find out more about it, determined to uncover all the secrets of this strange school. The sheer size of the building is overwhelming, and you can't believe that you haven't explored every nook and cranny of the place yet.
After sometime, you finally arrive at the library, and are taken aback by its appearance. The room looks more like an austere military bunker than a place of learning, with metal sheets lining the walls and rows upon rows of books and scrolls stacked neatly on shelves. You glance over at Jacqueline, but she seems equally stunned and doesn't say a word. The librarian is a middle-aged woman with short, curly hair and round glasses perched on the bridge of her nose.
You walk down one of the aisles, immersing yourself in the oppressive atmosphere. It's clear that talking is not allowed here, and you feel some fear at the thought of being scolded by the librarian-- you know punishment for breaking the rules is severe. You and your girlfriend exchange a few cautious glances, but you both know that you'll have to wait until you're outside the library to chat freely. You take a deep breath and continue your exploration, a bit impressed by the vast knowledge contained within the walls of this imposing room.
While Jacqueline peruses the science section, you come across a commercial pamphlet detailing the history of the school. To your shock, you learn that the school was originally a secret CIA facility for the study of behavior modification, used to alter the behavior of spies, dissidents, and whistle blowers. The project was supervised by Sidney Gottlieb, a notorious figure in the history of the CIA's MK-Ultra program.
