Lucian was hoping with his words there would be some flinch of reaction from the blond haired imperial. Instead he gave that simple smile he always seemed to have, “A Grave Guard you say, that is a kind of undead correct?”
“Yes, and I was the one who vanquished him.” Lucian said firmly as he stared into the eyes of the Nobleman. Still, no reaction of any kind.
“Ah, then I thank you for that.” The Noble said almost cheerily, “You see, that weapon belonged to my family for several generations but was stolen from my Father. To hear it within the hands of an undead is quite troubling.”
“Indeed it is.” Lucian said as he could only guess if this was a cover story or the truth that was being told.
“So I see that the two of you have common cause.” There was a hint of irritation from the Baron’s voice as he spoke, “Is that the reason you have come to my estate, Adolf?”
That smile that was adorned by the Imperial did not fade as he turned towards the Realm Knight, “Indeed it is. Such a weapon has been within my family’s possession and I seek it back. My travels took me over the Grey Mountains to your estate, Lord Christofle.”
Christolfe placed his wine upon a nearby table, “I can bring my assistance to both your searches, but I need something in return. It might help that the three of you work together on this, it would be quite the quest to undertake.”
