The rain has died down, the sun is setting between the skyscrapers, and the nightlife is becoming active.
Examining your new piece closely, its overall design could be confused for a Hi-Point with an extended barrel. The knuckleduster is solid steel, fits your hand like a glove, and has a nice cool weight to it.
“Good idea with buying some heat, I’ll get one myself after our next job.”
Looking his way you’ll give a nod before stating, “You’ll give a damm good lunch then right?”
“Why wait? Head over to Benny’s I got a gift card and some loose cash left.” Adam says, pulling out the card.
“Benny’s? Never heard of it.”
“You gotta try the chicken parmesan, none of cheap craft singles shit. I’m takin crispy chicken and real cheese, trust me you’ll love it.”
“I’d hope so.”
“Yeah, yeah don’t be such a downer just follow my directions it doesn’t show up on GPS.”
Adam spends the rest of the trip talking about the menu, his favorites, and why he likes the waitress there. Going on about how she laughs at his jokes and remembers his name. After half listening to his rambling you park to the side building. The smell of sauce and meat immediately excites your palate.
What greets you inside is a bar with stools and a few small tables. The sound of patrons eating and something sizzling in the back makes you feel right at home. Sitting down at the bar you look through the menu as Adam continues where he left off.
“But anyways I was looking for cheap shots and that’s how I found this place.”
“Bottem self vodka is twenty a handle you know.”
“Really? Where?”
“Ah, probably shouldn’t have said that.”
“No no, don’t put that on me and not say where.” Adam pleads.
“Forget it Adam you have a problem as it is.” You sigh.
“Yeah, well see how long it takes me to find it anyway.”
