There, in the gloomy distance, you can see something large swimming. Your eyes spot it and pick it out from the background water and sediments in the ocean; its color is familiar. Like an instinct to catch a swimming Swall in the distance. The Zhark has been following you.
You don't know what to do. You shouldn't have left the grotto, but you're a dumb kid afterall. Dumb kid who is about to be lunch. You could sink closer to the sea floor to limit the angles of attack but, an impact against the ocean floor would likely knock you unconcious. Floating up to the surface is even worse, you think the light up there would only further your ability to see its natural camoflague. But you can see its eyes glinting at you.
You open up your hand and sign to it, impotently. You “shout” your words, making the symbols as big and obvious as you can.
[Go. Away!]
You repeat the symbol. The Zhark doesn't react; but weirdly keeps looking. Almost like its trying to understand.
[I'm. Warning. You!]
You don't dare to take your eyes off the large animal. And then, within a moment, it glides away silently, and disappears. You grip your spear tightly and begin to lower it towards its direction. You hope that means it went away, but you know that isn't what that means.
