You activate one of the .apps that Squid gave you. It forms a circle of text in front of you, lit up an icy blue. You lightly brush Porcupamon aside as you step through the shattered wreckage of the store. Gazimon's eyes light up as he approach, and his claws twitch. You get the impression that he's taking you lightly, and keep your guard up. If he wants to get out of this mess, taking you as a hostage might be his best bet.
You don't give him a chance. You might have stopped your partner from deleting him on the spot, but you have no love for this twerp. Once you're near enough, you punch through the circle. The freeze code is executed, launching a packet of information straight at him. His tail twitches, poised to pounce on you, but the sudden appearance of a cyan projectile catches him off guard. He falls to the ground, stiff as a statue. You've set the code to disable, rather than suspend, leaving his mind alert and active.
<span class="mu-s"><span class="mu-r">"ARGH! What did you do to me?! Kapurimon, you bastard! I'll kill you! I'll kill your human!"</span></span>
<span class="mu-s">"It's Porcupamon now. And good luck getting through either of us. You weakling."</span>
He reaches past you and seizes the Digimon in both hands. Gazimon gulps as the blades pass close to his face. With a lack of fine motor control, the only way he can restrain a foe without stabbing them is if they're frozen. This is a strategy you've discussed with him during your break, along with a handful of other procedures you've kept in the back pocket. You may be a few days late to help Doc, but it's not like all that time was wasted on nothing.
"Show us where they are. And just maybe I'll make him reconsider."
<span class="mu-s"><span class="mu-r">"You... Ugh... Fine!"</span></span>
With the hostage held firmly in his grasp, Porcupamon marches out of the store. He gives you a slow nod, and you feel a fizzle in the link that supplies him with power. He's upset. Maybe it's not fair for him to feel this way, but he does regardless. You wince as his horns tear through the window frame a second time. When he calms down, he'll get over it.
