But what you CAN interpret are the sketches and diagrams, depicting what sorts of damage these spells can do. You see one man's skin melting off of him, another's body expanding then bursting in a spray of blood and gore. With more than one you see a cloaked figure simply touch the other, and their body begins decomposing, while one they simply point and the person falls over, then rises as a corpse. Who illustrated such morbid images along with these texts?
“What do you think?” she asks, looking up to you expectantly.
“I can't read any of this.” you tell her, looking at yet another image of a sphere draining the life force of everyone within a 20 yard radius. “But these illustrations are quite horrifying.”
“Thanks! I made them myself!” she says proudly, you feeling your brows raise. “How about I describe a few, and you can pick which one we'll start with?”
“Works for me.” you reply, Milha explaining a half dozen spells while pointing to the pictures, then looks up to you with excited eyes.
“What do you want to start with?” she asks, as if asking you what you would like to eat and not what horrific torture you'd be putting yourself through with some of these.
