You awaken to a bright Sunday morning and an empty stomach. Your hunger quickly overpowers any desire to stay in bed, so you get up and start your day. You spend the morning lazily, browsing through books in the library and trying to study chemistry without much success. Your focus wanders to thoughts of eating lunch.
After lunch, in the afternoon, you head to the school auditorium. You see students and teachers dressed in traditional outfits from around the world, and the sound of music fills the air. You take your seat and wait for the event to begin.
Ms. Müller steps onto the stage and begins her speech, "Welcome, students and staff, to our cultural festival. Today, we celebrate the greatness of capitalism, the beauty of multiculturalism, and the importance of cosmopolitanism. We honor the businessmen and politicians who have made great contributions to our society, promoting trade and diplomacy across the globe."
The speech is met with polite applause from the audience, and the festival begins with performances from various cultural groups. You find the dances and music from different countries and regions performed by the crossdressing students rather good. The performances include African tribal dance, Arabic belly dancing, and Indian classical dance, among others.
You make your way through the festival, but you quickly realize that the food is incredibly scarce. Each student can only take three small samples, which is disappointing given the variety of delicious-looking dishes on display. You settle on taking a small piece of sushi, a bite of a samosa, and a tiny cup of chai tea. Despite the small portions, the flavors are rich and satisfying.
Your hunger is mostly satisfied, for now, and you have recovered from the food you didn't eat because of Mikhail.
