Captain Lestos of the Kelmbach was looking out into space when it had hit his mind.
It was like the entire reality was torn from underneath him. He could only compare it to the feeling of suffocation when in a vacuum. He could barely keep himself up as the sense of the warp was removed from him.
“W-what was that!” He shouted as he slowly raised his head from the ground.
In response to his words the Sloog looked around to find his entire crew aching from whatever had hit them. The numerous forms of his crew shaking themselves as they attempted to keep themselves even conscious.
“Seer, are you still with me!?” Called out the Captain as he tried to place a psychic force behind his words.
It took the Captain a moment to feel, or better, not feel the reassuring power that was always behind that power. He tried again to press forward his sense of psychic might but the Sloog could barely get a mutter out as he reached forward. It was gone.
“Seer Antoval!! What is happening!?” Shouted the Sloog now as he felt his body begin to warm with panic.
The Sloog did not hear another response and turned to where the Seer would have been stationed. A shock of fear crept up his body as he looked upon the corpse of his late left hand. Already the vibrant color was dimming as whatever life was being leeched by this foul event.
The Captain felt the haunting force continue to press down upon him. It felt as if his soul was being crumbled under an immense weight of force no other could match. For a moment he tried to fuce all of his power, achieving a subtle psychic effect so that he could find the point of all this pain.
At the edge of the system it was there. An entire fleet. And he could see it not because it reflected the light of the nearby star but because it blotted out the numerous stars that were around it.
A giant vessel made of the blackest material. Its presence sucking the life out of the Sloog and their vassals.
