I think this vote and choice represents perfectly well why people turn to Magik and get corrupted. They convince themselves that the cost won't be that high, right? That what they are doing is necessary for the Greater Good. How else to defeat the Dragon and the Sons of Sin but with a Magik sword? What's one more magik artefact if it gives us a +5DC in combat that we sorely, desperately need? And then one day they look back and find themselves staring up at the world, for they have sank deep in the Abyss, one small step at a time.
NO! We will FIND another way to defeat the demons and the dragon and the zombies and whatever else the Gods throw at us. The EASY way is not the RIGHTEOUS way. The Angel and Heaven Above are more than a match for Foes we face, and through our Faith in them we'll vanquish all our foes.
