>>5974383And return to the inner chamber which you had departed from, where your men, the Custodes, and the Sisters of Silence are waiting. They all collectively step back as you walk from the Gate of Soul. Only Kylon steps forward.
“Lord? What happened? What is that on your hip?”
You look at Valdor. It would take too long for you to explain that strange journey in the Well, Stopholes, and all the rest. Would they even believe such a story?
>How long have we been gone?At this Kylon and the rest look confused. “My lord, Captain…Ales. You did not leave at all. You and Lord Valdor stepped in, only to step out a moment later. What happened in there?”
Intriguing. It seems that no time passed at all while you were gone. But before you can reflect on it further, Valdor is already at your side.
“We must move on to Magnus. He is the goal.”
Of course. But how to get to him? You’re still in this chamber with no- ah.
A great mirror floats in the middle of the room, reflecting nothing. Small steps lead to it on either side. You point to it.
>Where did that come from?Confusion ripples out from the small force, the Sisters of Silence especially shocked. Evidently no-one had seen it appear, not even the ever vigilant Custodes. You hear several murmurs of “Sorcery.” Stepping in front of it you almost swear you see something dart out of view, but perhaps it was a trick of the light. Or perhaps not. Valdor is with you, and at a nod from him you step through, and emerge in a luxurious chamber, filled with all sorts of colourful paraphernalia. You hear voices raised.
Looking behind you, your men and Valdor’s are slowly emerging from a mirror encased within the very walls of this place. At least you’ll have backup. But ahead you can hear an argument, between two voices. One raised in argument, the other calm, powerful. They must not know you are here.
What shall you order your men to do?
>Stay behind, in this atrium. You and Valdor will approach alone.>Order them with you. You must have a show of arms, just to be safe.
