(April 1st stuff finally over? Nice, here we go.)
You pat Tamako on her head, and tell her that she's a good girl for sharing. She continues to eat her cake, and kicking her legs happily.
You ask the gnomes their names.
"I'm Burpy." The one with the blue hat says. "The one in purpleis Purpy, the guy in red next to him is Rurpy. Over there in yellow is Yurpy-"
You ask if the one's in Violet and Green clothing are named Vurpy, and Gurpy.
"Yup."
You ask what it knows about Changelings. What they eat, what they need to survive, etc.
Burpy replies, "Oh, I don't know. I heard they are like cuckoos, so they probably need whatever you need."
You ask him how he knew she was a Changeling.
"It's a Fae thing. We are pretty good at identifying each other." He says shrugging. "At least after you've met at least one of their kind before. Changelings aren't exactly rare where we are from."
You ask if there are any other supernatural creatures around that they can sense, and if it's safe.
"Your daughter there was the first we came across. Why, have you? We've kinda been stuck here for a few hours." Burpy replies sighing.
Tamako stops gorging in shock and says, "What happened? Are you guys okay?"
"Didn't mean to worry you, miss. We wandered into a gate to your world on accident. We were just on our way to till the fields when we found ourselves here. It happens sometimes." He says shrugging. "We know it's around here, but we are waiting for the conditions to be right."
"Conditions?" Your daughter asks curiously. "What opens up the gate?"
"Could be time of day, could be weather. Maybe a word." Burpy says shrugging again. When Tamako continues to look worried he continues softly, "It'll be alright young one. If it helps you, think about it this way. If it was easy enough to stumble into on accident it can't be that hard to stumble back."
