When you fire the spell, it normally widens as it travels, becoming a more natural concussive bolt of electricity. You don’t see any of that with Shin - he’s able to keep the beam tight the whole way, keeping its piercing power even from a distance.
It’s truly just the aim that he’s struggling with, but you know that’s something that comes with time and experience - something that you have in spades more than him. You could help him in that regard, but you feel like that would be a waste of both your time. You walk over, getting his attention.
“Shin!”
He turns back around, wondering what’s up. “Yeah?”
“Your Byakurai is good. Really good. I think it’s technically better than mine. Ya really do have a talent for this stuff.” He scratches his head, embarrassed. “I was wonderin’ what kido you can actually use. Maybe I can show ya how to use a new one.”
