You’ve noticed all the important, minuscule hints thrown at your face, if you had any doubts before, they’re all gone by now. This Odetta is the same one in Oliver’s backstory. She’s Jaylene’s sister. The prankster: Little O. You thought she was dead, but she’s right here, and the confirmation is Aunt May’s tombstone, and it reads…
Marcela Larsen.
…
“I know way more than you think but not as much as you hope, Little O.” You smirk.
“Little O?” Fiora doesn’t seem to follow. “You already know her?”
“What did you call me...?” Odetta mutters under her breath.
“Little O.” You repeat.
“Ah…” Odetta tilts her head backwards, mouth half opened. Now a fabulous grin appears on her face. “Hey, I think we started on the wrong foot, pal. I’m truly sorry if I was rude to you. I’ve been stressed lately, and graveyards aren’t exactly my favorite comfort place…” She starts coughing.
“No, I understand. You weren’t that mean anyway.” You check on her. Hey, that worked! Odetta is friendlier now!
“Sheesh, you’re really a cool guy, huh? Like a really cool chill guy. I think we can be good friends. Great pals even.” Odetta’s dastardly smile doesn’t spell friendship… but great friendship!
“What’s gotten into you, Odetta?” Fiora harshly interrupts.
“Hey, Fio, mind the tone! You’re the one talkin’ to me, not the other way around!” In Odetta’s honest opinion, she has her hands clean. “Our big boy is doing his goddamn best to be all friendly with me, and you’re squandering it. We’ll talk about your proposition later. But first, I need to catch up with an old pal of mine...” Odetta puts her hand over your shoulder. “Tell me, big man, how’s Big O doing?”
How do you respond?
>“You mean Oliver? He’s doing great!” You need to be friendly back.
>“I don’t know who Big O is.” You assume it’s Oliver. But his backstory was so far back you won’t risk getting it wrong.
>“What are you scheming, young lady?” You have been around enough suspicious people to know there’s something off about this.
>“Girl, I know the whole story, I know you probably hate his guts. I’m not telling you.” What? Does this chick think you’re stupid? Nuh-uh, Smart Ando arc has begun!
>“I'd rather know about your aunt while we’re here. It’s disrespectful to have this type of conversation in a place like this.” Elegantly put this on hold.
