You fire off a quick combination, overhead into thrust into horizontal right-to-left downward slash that forces Trunks onto the defensive. Then as he blocks the third strike in succession he tries to counter, whipping his blade around overhead in a downward slash of his own. But you catch his swing at his weapon's crossguard, stopping his strike and causing him to recoil as you interrupt his strike before it can begin. Leaving him wide open as you follow through with a lightning-quick horizontal left-to-right slash. He dodges the lethal blow by jumping back, bringing his weapon back to bear just in time to deflect your follow-up thrust out to his left side. You, however, take that momentum, taking a step forward with your left foot while whipping your blade clockwise overhead into a downward left-side overhead blow, Trunks desperately bringing his own weapon up just in time to block your strike. “RRRAAAAAAAAA!!”
Yet, even though he'd brought his weapon up, wasn't ready for the force of your strike. Your blow was too much, knocking his own weapon back into him and staggering the blue-haired warrior. Again planting your feet you launch into another fierce combination, Trunks backpedaling as he desperately blocks your advancing blows. You push him back a couple dozen yards, nearly to the stairs of the Time Nest's inner sanctum before he regains his footing, you both locking blades right at the cross guards and staring each other down. But you can't even try to overpower him, as when your blades are locked his still keeps cutting through your own.
“You can't beat me now.” Trunks says confidently, pushing his blade deeper into your own. Forcing you to leap back, pouring even more ki into your weapon to repair the damage his own did as you land back on your feet, back in your Djem So stance. “I can cut through anything, no matter how tough it is. You can't win.”
