Miror snaps his fingers. "Exactly! Remember a pokemon battle is about the trainer, the pokemon are our ways to express ourselves, who we raise, how we train them, how we command them. It's all about YOU, and thus YOU need to put just as much of yourself into the battle as you do preparing it."
That sounds... right... but kinda weird. "What about... friendship and stuff? Isn't that what pokemon are about."
He chuckles. "Ah maybe, maybe! But no one is excited to see the Ludicolos but me, they come for Miror B." He lowers his sunglasses and wink. "But a few of my rivals always were a fan of that friendship and love, and they did shine. So hold onto that optimism and we will see where it takes you."

Poses require Dazzle, which is reduced by repeated uses of a pose, especially when you lose. You can only use one pose of the same type once per fight, and they all have side effects. If you do not win with your finisher your own pokemon are likely finished!

Miror B hands you a scrap book. "Keep track of your poses with this. There are cameras everywhere here, and they watch all your fights. When you got a good move going, you can get the guards to get you a picture so you can memorialize that style."
That's great but... you look at the arena and the little indent disco left. "What WAS that move Gremlin used at the end? It was all purply... and I didn't ask it to use that move."
Miror laughs. "Well I told you it was special yes? Perhaps it just picked up what you were putting down? Or maybe you need to get some badges from the guard captains to get your special partner to fall in line? As for the purple... well maybe it was brutal swing? Or foul play? It is a dark type and if anything was going to knock me down, foul play would've been the way."
You look back at Tom who is looking at Miror B. You aren't sure your convinced, you feel like you would recognize those moves... Y-you aren't stupid right?
"Anyway!" Miror twirls. "That pose lit a fire in me, and you still have detention! We will practice! Now!"
You were forced to rehearse the Sumo pose until dinner.
You and Tom are waiting in line at the mess as Tom starts to whisper behind you. "Hey... Gurie?" Your goggled friend's head dart around conspiratorially. "I think... something is up with Gremlin."
