>>6130589“Can we, like, decline?” Prisoner Darwin raises his hand. His voice is very dull. He’s also a flame user.
“No. Next.” Quye continues surveying.
“Do we get anything for participating? Like our freedom? Or nothing as usual?” Prisoner Beth asks.
“...One extra dessert next meal. Next.” Quye is nice enough to give them something. A couple of prisoners look happy.
“It was worth the shot...” Beth giggles with bad intentions.
“Next.” Quye has no time for this.
“Us who are — temporarily — on the lawful side, what do we get?” A bulky guy named Hanno asks. He’s also a flame user. Many of them today. One caveat, his is white but with a black center… How mysterious. Like the Calamity.
“My thanks. Next.” Quye deadpans.
“Are we getting it in writing or is being respectful in person a problem for you?” Officer Cocoa asks aggressively. She doesn’t seem to like the Warden’s attitude.
“In writing. Enough questions from you lot.” Quye doesn’t even entertain her, and moves things along. He stares at you and leaves the floor.
“Hello, I’m the one playing. Call me Phil.” You wave at the group; Judith, Hanno, Iris, and Tihana wave back. “If you don’t like this jerk, you should help me out by answering honestly. Now, first question, do you guys have any siblings?”
“Heh, of course not! I’m a lone wolf! Tell ‘em, Square.” Prisoner Roundbert, who looks identically like Prisoner Squarefelix, denies.
“Yeah, no.” Prisoner Squarefelix, who looks identically like Prisoner Roundbert, agrees with his not-sibling. Everyone can tell this is a lie, you don’t even know why you’re pointing it out.
“Screw your game! We have no reason to be honest!” Prisoner Roundbert laughs.
But after that, they both get electrocuted! The Bird wants everyone to follow the rules.
“OKAY, WE’RE BROTHERS!” Roundbert admits his faults withstanding the pain.
“The best of.” Even while electrocuted, Squarefelix maintains his chillness.
“I’M SORRY FOR EVER DENYING YOU...!!!” Roundbert apologizes as the brothers embrace. This makes the electrocution even worse somehow. But then, it ends...
“...We got the memo.” Prisoner Walter looks down on the dead duo (they’re not dead yet.)
“Human rights have never been one of this prison’s concerns.” Prisoner Wigmar doesn’t like the risk within this game.
