Instead of going to any aforementioned places, the staff goes to an old restaurant thats sells noodles and cheap food. It’s basically a small stall surrounded by red metal chairs and tables.

After a few minutes, three people show up to meet the organizers. They are wearing proper shirts and pants, more reminiscent of office workers than any gangsters.
Those middle aged officer workers are actually colleagues of the principal in your old middle school. Apparently he’s been freaking out after his son’s death and starts demanding more money from the parents, citing it for school security and consulting to prevent something like that to happen ever again.
The funds actually went to his pockets, to spend on contractors willing to find out what happened that they… and silence anyone that finds about said misuse of funding. The office workers need their help to get rid of this principal before he comes after them next.
They can’t exactly go to the police, either, since they took bribes from parents and if an investigation happens, they will go down too.
