>>5933332“Heh. It would seem that I was right about you. I'll be seeing you around, Kars.” he tells you, then turns back to the Kai woman beside him as you drop to your knees, panting to recover your strength while powering down. “Let's go somewhere a bit quieter to discuss further, Aeos.”
“Right.” she replies as he opens a dark portal, stepping through without looking back. The Kai follows, as well as the grey-skinned woman. But before she can step through the portal closes right in her face.
“Ah-! H-Hey?!” she exclaims, shocked she wasn't permitted to accompany them. But that is only noise to you as you focus on this power still raging inside, wanting to be unleashed. So focused on it, in fact, that you lose track of everything going on outside of you until the Elder Kai, having walked up behind you places a hand on your shoulder, startling you.
“Easy now. Come on, let's go back. I've seen enough.” Elder Kai says, you looking to him and nodding. The raging inferno seems to be settling down, allowing you to focus on moving and rising up to your feet. Elder Kai, with a look of genuine concern on his face puts a hand on your back as if to guide you, leading you away from the crowd a short distance. But, instead of returning immediately to his own time, he begins communicating telepathically with you. “Are you alright?”
“I'm fine. That was just.... A lot to handle.” you admit after a moment, keeping to not lying directly to the elder. With his magic powers, you aren't entirely sure he doesn't have some sort of lie-detecting magic, on top of his other tricks. “For a moment, I wasn't entirely sure if he was or wasn't trying to kill me.”
“Kars. I have to warn you. Be careful.” Elder Kai says, voice low as he steps around in front of you, meeting your gaze. But not looking quite into your eyes, almost like he's more looking at your nose, between your eyes. No doubt trying to avoid the same sort of Soulgaze Mechikabura'd just hit you with. “He may have given you that taste of power, but please be careful. Do not try and master it, as you have been with the Saiyans' the Divine power of us Kais, and others. Using the divine energy to create life beneath the surface on our world, or venturing to the mortal realm to try and reseed dead worlds with life is one thing. But if you try experimenting with that Dark Factor, it will consume you. Turning you into little more than a thrall for that demon. You must resist that temptation.”
And as the Elder Kai reveals that he's known all along what you've been up to, but simply remained quiet, your respect for Shin's elder only grows as you feel yourself smirk. THIS is what a real god should be, clever and cunning unlike like that incompetent buffoon Shin. But, aspiring to simply be a Supreme Kai suddenly feels like a waste of your talent and abilities. When you could aim to one day become so much MORE.
