“It’s nothing, I think we can at least break cover for now and get a closer look.” With so many Servants gathered, the chance of some assassin trying anything should be miniscule. An Archer-class Servant could possibly launch an attack, but even if so, you hadn’t ordered Avenger to leave your side yet, so it should be fine.
“Indeed, and my Servant needs my support.” Truvietianne interjected. Looking you in the eye, she continued, “This may be where we part ways for today, Einzbern.”
“Fair enough, be careful out there.” You answer, wishing her well as she stepped out to reunite with her Servant. The least you could do, anyway.
While you were discussing this, you could tell Kuro no Lancer had cracked a joke about there being too many Lancers running around, and the white-haired Lancer seemingly had readied for an attack in response. Listening in, you catch her saying in a somewhat stiff voice, “… must pierce your heart, brave warrior.”
You hear Yumigawa nervously exclaim, “Wait a second, Lancer!”, whereas the Caster gently puts his hand on her shoulder and calmly explains, “Lancer, you know that man is not the one to whom your heart belongs. You need not attack him in haste.”
Relaxing her stance and voice, she answered, “You’re right, Caster, thank you. Please excuse my eagerness, Master.”
Relieved, Yumigawa replies, “Think nothing of it. For now, I’d like you to engage the Lancer with the quarterstaff.” Interesting, it seems she wanted to attack Truvietianne’s Lancer first for some reason.
Hopping toward the sidewalk across the street from the café to avoid being surrounded, Kuro no Lancer responds, “So that’s how it is, last Lancer standing wins. Sounds good to-!” Startled by something, he changes tact and says, “Ah nevermind, looks like I gotta go, my Master needs a hand. No, no, you don’t need to use a Command Spell, I’ll be right over.” Tapping the ground with his staff, to your surprise a small cloud falls from the sky and lands right next to him, which he immediately hops onto.
You notice Avenger charging up some kind of energy attack, her thinking in line with your own as you shout, “Who says we’re letting you escape? Avenger, shoot him down!”
She immediately complies and fires a simple lightning-type attack at the cloud, blasting it to vapor. Kuro no Lancer himself had jumped onto the side of a nearby building to avoid the blast, looking a bit irritated himself now. Scratching his head and throwing his hand forward he growled, “Alright, as compensation for ditching you guys, I’ll let me, myself, and I take over from here.”
