"THERE IS ALWAYS A WAR!" Nelson seems angry, but he calms down after a moment. "Now, listen. When I was in the war, I was sent on a mission to take down a moonshine operation in Easttown, LHR. We was sneakin' through the woods, getting closer and closer. We were all ready for a fight. Except for this kid, Private Rogers. Private Rogers' legs were all wobbly, his brow was all sweaty, and his hands were all shaky. All things you don't wanna see a man who's supposed to have your back doing. And all of a sudden he asked in this shaky, bitchy voice 'Are you sure about this?'. And guess what happened to him? An hour later his guts were hangin' out and I had to shove em' back into his stomach."
David is silent for a moment before speaking. "Dad, what the fuck was the point of that story?"
"Well, son, the point was... MAN THE FUCK UP BEFORE I RIP YOUR GODDAMN GUTS OUT!"
"B-But I thought in that story you were putting his guts back in-"
"THAT'S NOT THE POINT!"
David looks down, clenching his fist, before looking back to his father.
"Y-Y'know, Dad, I'm getting real tired of you pushing me around all the time!"
Looks like David is trying to stand up to his father.
