"Ooo! Bring us back something good! Please, please!" Casey yells out with a bit too much excitement in her voice to be all that natural. You can only hope the Sniper didn't notice that.
The dockhands, seemingly working along with your plan for the time being, begin to lead Kiara over to the warehouse.
"What exactly is your plan here though? It's not like they would only have one bullet." Max, despite talking to you, is keeping her gaze focused on Kiara. She's keeping her left pointer finger trained on Kiara for some unknowable reason. "What, try to run while they're reloading?"
"Clover. How good of a shot would you say you are?"
"In this condition?" Clover whistles out a small little tune to help him concentrate. "Shit. Maybe if Kiara's plan works, I could make somethin' work."
"I do believe in your firearm prowess, Clover, but from this distance? There's no guarantee you could hit them for a lethal blow! Let alone hit them at all!" Casey tries her best to sound optimistic but even she's questioning this plan.
"He's a cowboy! He can do it!" Molly, however, has the unbribed optimism only youth can bring.
"Hm. Do you have anything to boost his performance? Can't make something on short demand."
"I do, Ben."
You toss over some of the SILVER AGENT TEETH to Clover. He's hesitant to use them but seeing no other option, he washes them down with some coffee. He carefully loads two bullets into his revolver before aiming it in the direction of the warehouse.
"Okay. I can only hope Kiara can keep up a good pokerface. Like you did during that poker game, ha." He gently nudges you with his shoulder but it's obvious he's worried too.
Kiara's still walking. Walking. Walking. You expect her to turn tail any moment, breaking the illusion and causing the sniper to catch onto your plan. Yet...
>25!She keeps on walking as if completely unaware that she's walking right into the line of fire.
That's when you see it. The faintest trace of a glint of light through the fog. The glint of death itself.

Two things happen within a split second of each other.
A glob of oil is launched out of the tip of Max's finger.
The dockhands scatter away from Kiara, trying their best not to get hit in the crossfire.
The oil lands an inch or two in front of Kiara. The shimmering rainbow-tinted liquid causes Kiara to slip right when the dockhands scatter. She drops to the ground like a sack of bricks. "YELP! WHAT THE FUCK-"
The sniper is unable to correct their aim in time so their shot completely misses its intended target. A mass of seething, impotent lead smashes into a random chunk of concrete six inches away from Kiara. A large cloud of concrete dust erupts into the air and promptly coats the now prone Kiara.
Purple and yellow crackles of energy ooze from the impact site. Is that an anti-anomaly round?
