He sprints out of cover, dragging his coat outwards to shield you from sight. A few bullets strike him in the back as he goes, but he takes it without flinching. The masked Digimon march forth, and you find yourself disconcerted by how silent they are. They behave more like servitors than Digimon; they don't have the quiet determination of Commandramon, nor the smug slyness of an Espimon. They just walk towards you in a line that spreads across the entire street.
Astamon tilts his gun over his shoulder and shoots one in the head. Instead of being deleted, it collapses into a mass of rubber, leaking a noxious substance. That alone is enough to signal that something is wrong. You don't want to waste time on these, you have to go.

"Up! The blimp won't come after us with zero backup!"
Astamon nods and reaches out to grab you. You cling on to his suit as he leaps straight upwards, trying to smash through a window. His knee impacts the panel, but cracks the model instead of breaking through to the other side. He swears violently and readjusts himself within the frame, before climbing upwards, being peppered by bullets all the while.

The vehicle surges towards you, its hardpoint-mounted weapons rattling wildly. You can only make out the projectiles using your goggles, they're transparent otherwise. They just look like distortions in the air. Astamon can't spot them easily, so you peek out and try to keep your gun steady. It's more difficult than it seems, especially when he's climbing, but you manage to fire at one.
The Helium Bomb explodes into a little fireball once it's damaged by the malware. Another volley collides against the building and creates a series of small conflagrations. Astamon starts shooting wildly, catching many more in mid-air, but a couple inevitably get through. You duck beneath his coat as the bullets strike him, and you can feel the heat from the other side of his back. He winces and continues upwards.
