>>5291381“Lord Freeza, we got one.” you think, telepathically reaching out to the Emperor of the Universe Freeza. You'd tested that skill extensively before he had left you in this room hours ago, just to make sure it would work and not be left alone with someone desperate to not get caught. Everyone knows that death is the lightest sentence one can possibly get for treason when working for Freeza's family. “Someone's sneaking in here, lights off and heading directly for your terminal.”
“I'll be there in two minutes.” he answers, his 'voice' so loud in your ear that you flinch at the volume. For a second you're sure the figure would have heard it, and your heart rate triples, but you settle down after a few moments as Freeza continues 'talking' to you. “Make sure they can't leave until I return.”
“I'll do my best.” you reply, then ending the mental link take a stealthy deep breath. You can do this.
“There we go.” the figure says, turning the monitor on and letting their fingers fly over the keys. Using that sound you quickly step through the shadows over to the door, not getting close enough to trigger the sensor and laying your right hand on the wall.
“Freeze.” you whisper, and begin channeling your magical power from your right hand. Icy magic pours forth from your hand, icy crystals quickly expand and grow out on the wall. After a couple seconds they grow out over the door, freezing the door completely shut. But you aren't done yet, you keep pouring more and more magic into the spell, coating the door in several inches of barely-luminous magical ice.
“No way! Cooler's headed there already?” you hear the man mutter, typing away. “I need to warn them, and have everyone move back to Cerula.”
“Cerula?” you think to yourself, and using the last of your Freeze spell to write that word on the wall at your fingertips. You'll PROBABLY remember it, but best not to take any chances. And now that you've blocked his escape, time to try and go for the capture. Thankfully you'd planned extensively while waiting in the dark, and your adamantite-infused rope is lying in wait. You'd laid it out on the ground under the terminal, stretching it out to the wall where you'd been lurking. “Time to go for it.”
Once again you sneak back over to the corner you'd started from, moving silently across the floor and gently lay your right hand atop the limp rope. You then channel your magic into it, and with another whisper unleash another Thief-class ability.
