roll 6d100, GM automatically creates your faction, assets, starting Homeworld and faction goal
DETAILED FACTION CREATION
roll 4d100
1/ The 1st 1d100 represents your Homeworld star sector (see constellation table). If you roll 89-00, you may choose whichever star sector you prefer, or start as Voidborn (space nomad).
2/ The 2nd represents 100+1d100 ISD (computational wealth currency, required for general trade resources and construction)
If you chose Voidborn above, you begin only with 1d100 ISD
3/ The 3rd represents 100+1d100 Haemolymph (space blood-surrogate, required for travel / trade / some research)
Voidborn begins with 200+1d100 Haemolymph, and can move 2 sectors per turn
4/ Allocate 10 points between MIGHT PROSPERITY INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE
If you wish, an attribute can be set to zero.
5/ Select 1 starting asset of your choice; it is recommended that you select this asset in a category to reflect your highest attribute. This chosen asset begins situated upon your Homeworld. Finally, the remaining 4th 1d100 will randomly determine another asset already in your possession.
6/ Give your space faction a name! You can also provide any other desired background details! Eg corporation, political, religious or militaristic faction etc.
Please also choose a preliminary faction goal from the following
i. Military Conquest - capturing military assets / objectives whilst following rules of engagement. It may or may not involve killing - sometimes deterrence is enough. Annex, patrol or defend a star sector
ii. Colonisation - establish a colony on a planet, either known territory or uninhabited
iii. Commercial Expansion - open a new trade route or take a product to market
iv. Scientific Discovery - make a theoretical breakthrough, or discover a planet
v. Planetary Seizure - capture an existing planet
vi. Expand Influence - gain a base of influence on a new planet. Requires transporting assets to new destinations.
vii. Peaceful Reign - resist attacking anything for four turns (QM: surely it cannot be this easy?!)
viii. Woe To The Vanquished - kill something... can involve marauder raids or general indiscriminate murderous destruction / devastation
ix. Stealth Infiltration - embed a deniable asset on a planet without being discovered
x. Wealth Of Worlds - just buy a lot of things
