Doesn't seem like there'd be much more to gather out of this, however Gerald does manage to sneak a peek at the strategic map they're using, and from what he could make out of it, he saw a circle around the Colorado river not to far from Vegas, Vegas itself was also circled, both noting that they should get scouts out to these locations to confirm the conditions of these important pre-war sites. Of course Gerald could only raise an eyebrow at the first circle, if he remembered his geography right, that was where Hoover Dam was, now that's a lot of electricity.

Senator Rockefeller detested the Hub, yet at the same time he found himself quite accustomed and at home here. It was the paradise of the contract man, the scam artist, and the politician within the New California Republic. No it wasn't the culture of the city he hated, it was the fact that he had competition, and a lot of it.... well that and the unending sales pitches. It had taken no less than several days to find the information he had been looking for. Apparently this Courier had worked for numerous different courier services across the Hub, there was a small bidding war whenever he was free to get the damn man to deliver their package, this of course made prospective employers and information sources rather tight lipped about the man.
Rockefeller however has his ways. Some of which may or may not involve having his 2 man escort dragging some fellow from the Southern California Mail Service into an alley way and breaking his fingers until he told him. It was dirty work, but the Senator was done with playing nice in this den of scum. After getting the information he needed he headed to the Couriers current employer, some new business called the Mojave Express to requisition the man for a job.
Oddly enough to the Senator the mans boss told him that the Courier does all his own negotiating, and that he just handles the logistics of these deals. With that said and some time before the Courier returned the negotiations began. It was heated and intense, offers going one way and then coming back the other before eventually they settled on a deal for him to guide a group of them through the Divide. Ultimately it came at the cost of some of the Caravan's advanced weaponry. Rockefeller sighed, noting he'd probably have to get the Van Graffs to sign off on handing over a series of plasma weapons to this man, but it wouldn't be the first time the Enclave had dealt with a wastelander and got what they wanted by giving them energy weapons, the Salvatores spring to mind, but they were no where near as hard of a sell as this one was.
