>SELECTED: Sir van Brooksvale is a man of few words and less ostentation, ill at ease in a crowd. You view it as your duty to ensure they are included in the table’s conversation. When another tells you that he was knighted by none other than the Duke Aubres himself last year, you simply must hear the story. [Hearty]

Double Fail = A challenger appears. There is an irreconcilable difference of opinion that must be settled. Depending on the degree of success, this is either a friendly test of arms or a cartel issued in bad blood.
0 = Overbearing arrogance. Your haughty personality clashes with that of the humble lowborn knight. Worse still, you are perceived by many of the Comitas present as the one offering insult and Sir van Brooksvale is regarded as the better man for letting your unintended slight slide.
1 = Polite discourse. Conversation between the two of you it stilted to say the least. While you both remain polite, you fail to find common ground and engage in genuine conversation. At least you find out a little bit more about the man.
2 = Pleasant companionship. With a little coaxing, the humble knight comes out of his shell for the evening. The two of you get along well and pass a pleasurable evening exchanging stories and histories. Should you two meet on the road again in the future, he will greet you as a friend.
3 = Fast friends. Sir van Brooksvale is honoured to be recognised by a knight of your pedigree, viewing himself as much the junior despite your similarity in experience in the field of knighthood. You in turn admire the man for his strong faith and ability despite his comparatively low station, and when the man offers to come to your aid as a companion in the future if needed you see no reason to dissuade him.
Double Pass = Inspiration. You inadvertently offering him inspiration for his next quest beyond the Final Vigil. Vancewell bonus.
