After days of battling, the rough seas have finally begun to settle. Despite this turn in the weather, spirits could not be lower. Sir Emile Andrei was a popular figure among the pilgrims, and the loss of that man to the fury of the waves yesterday is felt keenly among their number. His servant boy is inconsolable, refusing to all offers of food or conversation. One sympathises, even I had come to see him more as a friend than another passenger. In truth I am myself pained by the man’s passing, but I do not let this show to the crew.
We lost the archer in the tempest as well. Their white-cloaked warrior priest, usually good albeit silent company around the dice table, has secluded himself. I think he blames himself for their deaths.

A number of the pilgrims have not fared well under the discomforts of the last few days, the holy women indicate that another spell like the last will probably not see them likely to survive the voyage. We have little choice but to make for the strait again.
Today was the first day of clear skies we have had in the last week. We held a service for the loss of the Storm Bear and his silent archer. Or rather, we attempted to. The ragged priest disrupted the gathering, laying about wildly with a few of his most ardent zealots and condemning all present for their lack of faith. Things nearly became violent when the priest shrugged off the holy woman’s calming tones leader of the holy women attempted to explain and denounced her and her conviction.
The man is so clearly set in denial that one cannot help but pity him. I will allow a few days for the pilgrims to come to terms with their loss before attempting to honour Sir Andrei’s memory at sea. If the priest attempts this commotion again, I will have him gagged and bound to the mainsail.
