>R, Bond with Velvet. Makes measures to ensure your not harmed or put on fire.
You were incredibly, incredibly tempted to have someone stuff that dog into the Salty Bathrobe. Due to obvious reasons, you have to let the dog enter the cell unclothed.
The fire that burns within me purifies my bloodline even moreso.
The anomaly is still kneeling on the floor. The flame are, thankfully, still cooler than usual.
Employee R doesn't mind the now-cooler containment cell. Though some is thanks to her adaption
R: Yawp!
This instantly grabs the attention of the velvet-draped flame. It snaps its head at the direction of the sound.
ANOMALY: What is this?
ANOMALY: A mangy mutt? What is this doing in my chambers room? Guards? GUARDS!
R: Hm?
Employee R tilts her head, clearly confused.
ANOMALY: Must I do everything myself?
ANOMALY: Shoo. I do not trifle with such low b...
The anomaly takes a closer look at Employee R. Its posture and voice softens, going from a roaring flame to a soft wisp.
ANOMALY: No, no. This isn't a stray. A royal Corgi? Such a lovely gift from the Queen.
It pats its lap.
ANOMALY: Come here. Sit.
Employee R is a bit hesitant to sit on the lap of something still on fire but does so. She curls up onto the anomaly's lap.
ANOMALY: Good girl. It has been a while since I've owned a dog myself.
It begins petting the dog. Employee R tries to ignore how burning hot said pets are.
ANOMALY: Though, it was hard to stomach owning one when such rabble rousers kept harassing and driving them away. Poor girls...
ANOMALY: What's your name, dear? Do you not have a collar?
ANOMALY: Hm. You seem like a Roxy. I like Roxys.
R: Woof.
ANOMALY: Adorable!
The two enjoy a moment of peace with each other. The flames cool down a bit more.
A moment of peace. A moment belonging to the past.
Even with her newfound heat resistance, Employee R can only handle such direct contact for so long.
She quickly hops off the lap before she gets any burns (or any worse burns)
ANOMALY: Cutting so soon? Disappointing but not unexpected. Go.
The flames start slowly heating up again, though not as quickly as you expected.
Employee R quickly runs out of here before the heat gets any worse.
Once out, you see that the underbelly of Roxy is pretty red. It's not a serious burn but it's shocking she didn't get anything worse.
