>>5205588Susan wasted no time to celebrate her victory with a triumphant howl, before taking two steps towards the general direction of Wishbone village to deliver what was to be her ultimatum.
"Your strongest member of your village has fallen! Because of her noble sacrifice she has-"
"Hey! What are you doing, you little shit!?"
Turning towards the source of the sudden commotion among her crowd, Susan could only stare in shock at the scene as her daughter devoured the biomass of the late officer at speeds that would put a glutton to shame, the wholesale absorption forcing Lisa's body to convulse and evolve. Bones lengthened, hair grew, muscle mass bulked up and slimmed down simultaneously. Lisa's body matured and grew until her appearance finally settled down to an age bracket equivalent to that of a teenager, her body adopting mutations that were iconic to the late Officer Baerns.
"Lisa. What is the meaning of this?" asked Susan, horror and anger tinging her voice in equal parts.
Lisa didn't answer, instead she went to pick up the Officer hat left behind and placed it upon her crown before positioning herself to be between the warband and the village.
"If you really want to keep your gang of bullies fed by killing the people in wishbone, you're gonna have to go through me." Lisa declared through silent tears and a deepened voice box.
"Stand down, Lisa."
"Stand down."
"Do you hear me Lisa? Stand. Down."
"No." And with that answer, Lisa charged.
The fight between parent and child wasn't a fair one. For every fist, claw, paw, and kick thrown by Lisa, her mother would return with two with twice the force. Every attempted spell and vocal outburst of defiance would be interrupted by her mother. Throughout the battle, Lisa spent the much of the time getting batted around and knocked down rather than standing up. And yet, despite the apparent one-sided battle, Sathriel could sense a shifting of the tides between the two as she quietly observed under the veil of invisibility.
Susan...was losing. Not a physical battle, but a moral one. She was holding back. More over, the longer the fight went on, the more hesitant Susan became, the less force she put into her strikes, and the more proficient Lisa became in close quarters combat.
"Why are you doing this!?" Susan wailed through her fury "You could've gone with me instead of staying here...You could've been safe with me. Everything I did, all the military power that I rounded up was to keep you safe...Why are you doing this?"
"ANSWER ME LISA!"
