>>5699425>>5699459>>5699468With one octopus arm spawning behind you, your premonition skills prove to still be useful here despite the oppressive aura of the sea god being a bother to you before. Perhaps the roar of the astral world has increased your tolerance of ill-intended creatures.
Nevertheless, Gunpowder gallops in place until the mollusk is successfully yanked out from it's base. Despite it's increase in weight, the both of you can still take down these enemies individually with not much trouble.
"Only one way to find out which is the stomach and which are the lungs..." You drop the chopped off undead monster onto one of it's holes, and hearing a slight sizzling sound after a wet sloshing sound, you were sure not to accidentally drop on it's stomach.
Being a more sensitive organ, you do not expect a lot of difficulty entering the inside of his lungs, yet the amount of sea slugs do not recede. What appear to be his follicles are encrusted with sea sponges, finding a way to reside inside as the air was pushed in and out with enough force to knock you over.
"Try not to do too much damage around this area, if the smoke from your cannon sends him into a coughing fit, we'll be bouncing on these walls until we're mashed together." You warn Guts, as he already jumps on your shoulders to slash at the deformed torsos attempting to clutch you from it's ceiling.
"I'll play nice for now." Guts spin kicks onto the ground as he cracks some of the coral reef under him, having to put more force into each of his swings as even here, their numbers and size are only increasing.
Playing stop and go to the Sea God's breathing is annoying, especially when it's heartbeat is getting deafeningly loud, to the point where it hurts your own heart to synch itself to it's rhythm. Relying on the imbuing of Od on your weapon and armor, you poke and scratch at your enemies so they can disappear into the air without leaving any large remains, something Guts seems to have trouble doing. Stealth and clean kills really aren't his forte...
"Watch out!" Guts shots as you feel a giant corpse approaching you from behind, forcing you to splash it with water and sticking it to the walls of the monster's lungs. After ravaging a large shark, it's carcass flew as the lung pressed the air in, being a floating obstacle that could obstruct your journey. At least he was nice enough to warn you he screwed up...
Sliding vertically as each beat of his heart tensed every muscle of your body, you've realized that the monster's main circulatory organ was actually a way for it to tire out any adjacent life form from entering, as the forceful spasms were exhausting the three of you while you were barely hurt with it's mere existence. No light was to be found this far in, and you were only being guided by your instincts, growing tired with each step below.
