According to Lorg, this underground road emerges around the dwarven ritual pilgrimmage. Skull pass is still a gaping wound in the heart of dwarves. This important hold fell when skavens attacked from inside, making the dwarf retreating outside to get greeted by a goblin tribe. Despite the best effort of dwarfkin, no reconquest effort managed to hold the pass, greenskin taking that as a personnal challenge to destroy it. Thus, a stop on a frequently patrolled road is the best dwarves managed.
