>>5380701You have a million ways to show this woman pain– a million ways to show this woman just who sits at the top of the food chain.
Of all possible approaches, the solution is, quite literally, in your hands. Because you’ll rush her– that’s what you’ll do!
Instinct pulses in tune with your desire to bring this fight to a close, buzzing, buzzing, buzzing as you rapidly close the distance between the harpy and yourself once more. If there’s anything you excel at, it’s fighting at close range and making the enemy positively cower beneath the force of your own fists, anticipation swelling in your chest as you prepare to send the woman flying.
The suit, however, lends to harpy-woman’s own speed, allowing her to keep up with your attacks and blocking almost each and every one of them.
One of the fists that manages to make it past her defenses leaves what you think is a thin, hairline crack on one of the plates of her suit, but, before you can confirm the damage for yourself, that spiky, stumpy arm where the rapier once was drives itself straight into your gut.
Though it doesn’t pierce through, it hurts just as bad as a strike from Julia’s own fist, and the pain is enough to have you choking on your own saliva for the splittest of seconds, the psychopath before you clearly relishing in your sounds of pain.
“A tad underwhelming…” She hums as you back out of her striking range, and, again, there’s that condescending attitude of hers. “It’s honestly pathetic that the X-Force is threatened by someone like you~~”
She finishes that sentence by diving forwards, slashing her stump at your person with the full-intent to spill blood. Two seconds too late do you realize that was a feint before her normal fist is sent straight into your sternum.
This time, bone cracks, your body nearly flying over the rails, but it doesn’t, your body mercifully sliding to a stop right before the edge. Rising back to your feet, you feel your bones reform and reattach themselves. Though you could’ve handled that kind of fall (and have handled worse falls before), you don’t think it’d be a wise idea for you to bring the fight with the veritable psychopath down to the rest of your team.
Harpy-woman says something else to you that’s either another condescending taunt or laughter at your dismay, but you shut that out in favor of listening to Valjean's update from the other end of the line.
