The Cleaners' leering eyes and conceited smirks are clearly getting to Benjamin. The tips of his friends are crackling with faint orange embers. With uncharacteristic <span class="mu-r">rage</span>, his mouth twists into a snarl.
[DELUSIONAL] <<span class="mu-b">"If I don't do something now, they'll win. I have to do this. Max and Nicole will understand. Clover would understand too."</span>>
[DELUSIONAL] <<span class="mu-b">"They're bad guys, after all."</span>>
"Ha! Look at Foureyes over there! Awww, you wanna fight us? For ya girl over here?"
"Pfft. Like he could do any-fuckin-thing to us. Move along-"
"Boss? Look at his fingers."
The Cleaners spot the embers crackling at Benjamin's fingertips but before they can say or do anything, Max steps in to defuse the situation. As if a wave of cold water was thrown at his heart, Benjamin calms down immediately. He shakes his hands to put out the embers.
"Boys, boys, you're really sweet." Her voice is smooth as silk, lacking the natural boyishness that normally laces her words. "I really do appreciate it."
"Then why don't you come with us? I'm sure we'll have a lot more fun than that Mr. Kookoo over there."
"Awww. I really would. I bet I could all of you a REAL good time." The palms of her hands are soon coated with oil thanks to her power. "A <span class="mu-i">really</span> good time..." She mimes...polishing something with her hand. Eugh.
She immediately stops once she sees the three getting all flustered, shaking off the oil. "But I need you three to do me a favor. If you can find this one guy for me, I'll pay you with money AND a good time."
"Oi! Boss, we should take her up on that. The shanks around here don't look half as good as she does AND they charge us!"
"Mmh. Who's this fella? Why SHOULD we track 'em down?" The leader is hesitant but his two lackeys are already a lost cause at this point.
"Oh, he's a bit taller than the antler girl over there. Has a silver suit on that's hard to miss once you know what you're looking for. Annnd he might've tried shooting at me and the other chicks here."
"What for?"
"No reason!" Casey adds to Max's story. "We were in a crowd of innocent, hard working men and women when we were suddenly attacked out of nowhere! His attack nearly ripped off our fair lady and her antler friend's ears! Some other good men were hit in the crossfire!"
>35! PASS!
"Oi. We did hear some gunshots a bit ago."
"If he's been shootin' up crowds, he might've crossed some rich folk off." Both lackeys nudge their shoulders against their boss.
"Probably more than we could get trying to loot this ol' facility others probably looted dry anyways..."
The three share a look with each other. Before you even know what's going on they shove right on past your group with baseball bats in hand. They disappear down the street you just came from in search of this elusive spook. Too bad you didn't tell them how hard it is to spot them unless you've been dealing with them for a while.
