>>5884214You did it because it was your duty. You reaffirm to yourself. That's the whole reason you came this far. But you don't think that Sotrea sees her place in the Sheikah the same way you do.
"Well, I can't take you to the ocean but if you close your eyes, I can describe it in such detail you'll think you're really there."
Sotrea snorts at your response, but you insist "No really try it. Close your eyes." She rolls her eyes at you, but then closes them. You close your own eyes and recall one of the many memories you have of the sun rising over the ocean. You describe to her the cool ocean breeze, the salt smell in the air, the sand between your toes, the sound of the waves lapping against the shore. You describe it all to her in the most detail you can manage. You get so lost in your own descriptions, that you almost don't notice when Sotrea rests her head on your shoulder. Your words eventually fall away and you and Sotrea simply spend a quiet moment on your imaginary beach together.
You don't know how long you and her sit like that on the edge of the cliff, but eventually Sotrea lifts her head from your shoulder. "Hey Matthias do you see that?" You open your eyes and follow Sotrea's gaze to a small cloud of something rising up from between two of the small hills on the green plains below. You squint hard at the cloud and try to discern its source.

"Rohm the Gerudo are closing in. We aren't going to make it." The younger prince Jinom says to his elder brother. "I'll take what's left of my riders and some of our knights and see if I can't buy us some room to escape."
Rohm looks to his brother, his kin is drenched in sweat and caked in dust from the road. His armor is scratched and dented in several places from his battle at the southern passes and subsequent retreat. Dark circles highlight his eyes and show him to be more exhausted than he lets on, but his eyes themselves still burn with determination and the fire to fight on.
>"Very well Jinom, buy us some room, but no heroics get back to us as soon as you can alright.">No, a King should lead by example "I will lead our soldiers in a charge. You keep the rest of the men moving and get mother to safety. You've risked enough on my behalf. Now let me do my part.">The Royal line has become rather short as of late you won't risk your brother on this task. You'll send the riders and knights alone they should be able to handle it themselves>[Write in]
