Supposedly, this weapon operates by catalyzing the decay of stable baryons into smaller, more energetic elementary particles. Presumably effective against all forms of standard and exotic armor; after all, there are very few things in the visible universe which are not comprised of baryonic matter. Although the weapon itself is capable of sustained firing, the RAIN's reactor is several orders of magnitude to weak to meet the required power draw. We will have to rely on single-ignitions, with a long recharge delay between shots. [High impact, but only usable once per combat encounter]
