“What do you mean by configured?” You question, tilting your head at his turn-of-phrase.
“When I take stuff from the real world, my inventory turns it into the thing it’s most similar to,” He explains after a moment’s pause. Then he holds up one of Julia’s crystals to make it disappear, only for it to reemerge as a glass block.
“This really isn’t it, but I think we’ll be golden if she just makes our diamonds as close to the Meinkraft diamonds as possible.” Ralph seems very confident in his hypothesis.
“But I’ve never played Meinkraft before.” Julia objects, and, while you’re pretty sure that’s a lie (because what kid of your generation hasn’t played Meinkraft?), it’s far easier to explain than the amnesia. You can’t help but feel a twinge of sympathy at that.
“You don’t need to know– I got a diamond you can look at.” Ralph grins, tossing the diamond out of his hand.
“Pretty G.O.A.T., isn’t it?” He says, watching as Julia inspects the digitized diamond. “This is probably going to be a bit of trial-and-error, but I think we can get it– I’m not going home without a new diamond pickaxe.”
