Elly feels her senses, her ability to “feel”, effortless and intuitive, begin to focus on her friends. And her love. Elly has gained extraordinary senses and can now see auras of those she is familiar with.
Much like a shadow only she can see, a smell all others have become blind to, Elly now feels something “extra”. She opens her eyes and looks at them, her friends and acquaintances. With effort, she can “see” a force around them, an unspoken whispering, a shimmer, which represents the spirit within the flesh. Elly feels like she can only sense this aura because she knows each of them; Young James is mostly a stranger and his aura is the hardest to read, followed by Richard who she can feel stronger. She is quite excited at first, as this place has awoken some preternatural ability inside of her, but when she looks at Jon, she feels a surge of concern.
”Oh Jon... Why didn't you tell me?”
”Huh? Elly- what's wrong? What happened? You got quiet for a minute.”
”Jon- your heart is bleeding. You must be in such pain. Please let me help you, Jon. By all the Gods and Stars above- I can't believe I couldn't see it before!”
”Elly-! What are you talking about?! Haha, I'm fine, same as always!”
Elly knew he was lying. She could see it now; the distortion around his aura. The great burden and inner pain- she could feel it. Jon is tormented- his aura more heavy and dark then anyone else. Elly has to do something!
”Jon, you need to tell me what's wrong. You are under such a burden beyond just money- you're still in pain- you must tell me! Let me help you! No more secrets!”
”Elly... A-Alright. I'll tell you everything...”
