Upon the calling of the name a single Astartes rose from the ranks and made his way towards them. He had features of TalOS’s geneseed, sunbaked skin and a longer than standard face. Blond hair demonstrated the man’s original laneige towards the Jermans. As he came he bowed to Malcador, and then to TalOS. Though he noticed it was not to TalOS but the lanturn that he held within his hands.
“Is there something that you need from me Lord Malcador?” Asked the Astartes before his eyes flickered towards TalOS again. This time they were sharp as TalOS noticed that he had no iris or pupils, “Father?”
“It is indeed me Luther. I came to see what Malcador had achieved with my sons.” TalOS told his son with a small hint of sadness, “I see that the Ritual of Binding blinded you.”
“It has. I serve Malcador as a head of this Temple thanks to my state.” Admitted the Astartes as he focused upon TalOS, “I cannot fight for I have no sight, so this is my fate.”
TalOS wondered if he should be annoyed or have expected Malcador to do this. To answer it he asked, “Were you bound willingly?”
“I was Father. I wished to do what our Masters did and attain the same fate that they had.” TalOS could see there was pride in that declaration but also shame. Shame in his likely thinking that his fate was not what TalOS wished.
“I simply wanted to know. You are fine.” TalOS told his son while grabbing his shoulder in a show of affection, “What are the chances?”
“Two in five experienced Blindness. Two others died outright and the final one has gained immense power as well as control.” Malcador supplemented the explanation for TalOS.
“And where is this son of mine?” TalOS asked Malcador.
“Damasus serves the Emperor directly.” The Sigillite said with a creeping smile of success.
TalOS’s attention felt like it was snared when he heard that. He knew the chances of his sons serving the Emperor directly existed, but that they were able to be modified to such an extent was enlightening.
