The enemies of the Machine God slowly crested over the hill. Their eyes were looking straight forward for there was no care about what was at either of their sides but the great being that was marching towards them.
It was Particep Semper. The being glowed with a radiance which matched what they would have originally thought to be divine. While this was a truth their minds were clouded to the point that they could only see an enemy approaching their lines.
In an instant information traveled from the scouts that were looking upon the enemy to the Titan crew who were preparing the battle of their lives. Diez Ire was ready for a fight and without even sending a Warhound ahead of him began marching towards Particep Semper.
Thus the Legion walked with its legion of maniacs at its rear. The slaves of the Legio Mortis hooting and hollering as they tasted blood in the air. They knew for a fact that the coming fight was to be one of the greatest fights upon the face of Mars. Such a fact was known and further more they did not care whether they won or died, for at least their suffering would be relieved to some extent.
Particep Semper was within a plains which was surrounded by a mountain range to one side and a massive cliff on the other. It had surrounding it a few Warlords and Warhounds, but nothing near the same amount of Titans that the Diez Ire had around itself.
Maybe if there was a shred of sanity or a Priest who was in control of the Warmachines there might have been some different tactics that came into the minds of the Legio Mortis. But many of their kind was not so willing to become the servants of Chaos and those that were had lost their minds before the Omnissiah had made himself known to the planet.
Their suffering was simply that by the appearance of the Omnissiah they might have seen something other than Chaos. Chaos could not allow that and thus ruined its servants in the selfish manner of retribution that such a force will be well known for.
The Horns of the Diez Ire screamed into the air along with the rest of the Titans that were in its company. Among its forces were five Warlords and Seven Reaver class Titans that acted as a support to the Imperator that was among them. There were only three Warhounds, for the rest of their breed had found traveling alone on the prowl to be a better alternative to the Horde they would have followed. Diez Ire without popping the shields like what had won it a battle against the Reaver who watched a world burn.
Seeing no other reason to hold back they all began their advance.
