But in his stride, Ser Hugh reaches the northern end of the continent, enjoying his view of the towering fjords and crags in between exasperated breaths. But during this leisurely walk, awaiting a chase from the horrid creature, Hugh's sabatons would clatter against dull metal. Revealed beneath the overgrowth lies the rusty, lanky armor of a knight much like himself. Visions of the countless times Yrosian sages have dropped dull myeliac folds into Hugh's lap return to memory, backed by the droning teachings of whatever poor servant they had teaching the knight in an isolated class of peers far more interested than he. This knight was a vessel, much like himself. Ser... Sellius? Sereus? Ser who whats it. It's all the same, some big ego'd vessel who thought he was going to change the world.
Watching the wind pass over the brush that swallows the fallen knight's remains, seeing the orange light of the setting sun reflect off his frog-like helm... It begins to dawn over Hugh. These sensations are things he never spent the time to feel. These names, his ancestors, are something he never spent the time to study or devote attention towards. And now, his breath grows raspier and raspier with every step. Before long, him and this distant relative of his won't be too different.
"Maybe I will just sit here for a wee bit longer," he speaks out loud to himself, before settling down next to the armor and stares off into the coast.
