Comparing Armigers to Crisis battlesuits, it is somewhat larger so may not necessarily fit in spaceship hallways as easily as a Crisis, but it's got a lot of other perks. It's got more health, moves faster, and shoots better.
Main drawback is its armament is limited, and the Tau Fusion blaster is straight up just better the meltagun. Also lack of jetpacks and of course a plethora of drone and shield supports.
But all of these can be mitigated. Support drones substituted with advanced servo-skulls. And just cook up some jetpacks to strap on them if we wanted.
The Tau don't exist yet and we will likely never encounter them short of some bizarre warp effect, but one of the things I wanted to see in this quest is Talos lay the groundwork to prove 10,000 years ahead of time that the Imperium of Man is superior to the Tau even at their own game. We can play the Battlesuit and Drone game just as them, and with Dark Age tech do it better than even they could have dreamed of.
If the 2nd Legion survive to fight the blue xenos, they would just scoff and shake their heads as they deploy their own suits far in superior to theirs and of equal number and production, piloted by mortals.
