It was hard to comprehend confusion within the mind of his brother. He was a Primarch, someone who should not have such mixed thoughts about a matter that was rather straightforward. He tasted the soul again and felt that his brother was not a psyker, or at least not one on par with Sanguinius and Magnus. He was by far a Standard Primarch with what major and little context was within that thought.
Perterabo once again faced TalOS but without the same zeal that he was approaching before. Whatever changed to the Primarch must have been something far greater than what TalOS could have imagined.
TalOS decided he should have the first words, “Perterabo, you know why I am here.”
Those words were enough to snap the mind of his brother back into focus, “You got a problem with how I am treating my Legion? You and the rest of our Brothers.”
“Then you do not seem to fully understand the sheer volume your decimation committed. Three hundred eighty five Astartes were killed at your orders.” TalOS fired back with a baneful furry, “That Many Astartes should only be lost against in great wars against other Empires, yet you have struck it of your own accord. Why did you commit this sin?”
As if a trigger had been made TalOS felt a full force of annoyance come to his brother’s forethought, “Sin? If there is a God who judges those in the universe than it is how I judged by sons. My sons have lost far more than three hundred and eighty five because of their incompetence.”
TalOS watched as his brother seemed ready for a verbal spar, for TalOS to shout back at him for what was a clear insult. The Fabricator General held his tongue though. The meaning of his silence was obvious, that he was awaiting the evidence that his brother thought was just enough to commit such a heinous crime.
That confusion was once again to the forefront. TalOS did not mean to be doing it but Perterabo was being thrown for a loop by his presence, words, and actions. Surely the Primarch of the 4th would have been able to work through these complications, so what was it that was affecting his brother?
So many things must have been going off for Perterabo that he must have been caught in some form of quagmire.
