[Dragons were regarded as natural tyrants. There's a reason the mammals of the world have ancestral nightmares of them, and why even the worshipful reptilian races regard their Presence as "Fearsome". They weren't necessarily unthinkingly aggressive, since many were ancient, and said to be nigh-immortal, and patient in their age... But, to your culture's knowledge AND to the knowledge of the enemies of your people, no dragon was ever regarded as anything less than domineering and cruel, albeit in different manners and different ways.]
[Mammalian races regard this as a grave sin of their kind, which justified their extinction. Reptilian ones regard it as their right by way of kingship: the strong dominate the weak, and that is good if the source of their strength is righteous, their goals are logical and 'just', and their violence and is applied with direction and purpose.]
